boxwood lap (polishing disk) impregnated with diamond dust to
faceplate of lathe. Starts lathe and moves bearing against
revolving lap, using pointed stick to facilitate handling jeewl
bearing. Isnpects polished bearings to ensure conformance with
standard, using magnifying glass.
